SEMINAR — Reaching Net Zero: the shift to green production and sustainable development

On 30 January 2024, CFDWAYS and Phenikaa-X took part in the seminar “Reaching Net Zero: the shift to green production and a sustainable development direction for industry” at the Viglacera Thang Long plant, together with managers, specialists and engineers from the Viglacera Yen Phong, Viglacera Thang Long, Viglacera Thai Binh and Viglacera Tien Son plants.

It was an important event, a firm step in the commitment to plant improvement projects that raise energy efficiency, contributing to sustainable development and to reaching Net Zero.

CFDWAYS presented its work on ESG practice and the energy saving potential identified while working alongside Viglacera Thang Long on researching and developing energy efficiency improvements.

In addition, Director Tran Van Bay and CTO Pham Anh Dung of CFDWAYS presented solutions using the Simcenter simulation platform from Siemens to resolve production bottlenecks and raise energy efficiency:

💡 Burner analysis and selection: fuel savings.

💡 Design optimization of the fluidized-bed furnace: better combustion efficiency and less fly ash.

💡 Design optimization of the mixing tank: lower energy consumption and better mixing.

At the same time, Mr Khong Minh – Head of Robotics at Phenikaa-X presented an autonomous forklift solution for moving tiles from the robot unloading stage to the warehouse.
